Discover Delia's Kitchen

Walking into Delia's Kitchen feels like stepping into a place where breakfast lasts all day and nobody’s rushing you out the door. I stopped by on a humid Myrtle Beach morning after a long walk along the coast, and the first thing I noticed was how relaxed the room felt. The chatter of regulars, the clink of plates, and that comforting smell of bacon on the griddle set the tone right away. Located at 1108 3rd Ave S, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, United States, this diner sits just far enough from the tourist rush to feel like a neighborhood secret.

The menu leans into classic American diner comfort, but it’s handled with care. I ordered what the server called house favorite-a fluffy omelet packed with vegetables and sharp cheddar-and it showed up hot, generous, and clearly made to order. That’s something I always look for. According to USDA food service guidelines, cooking eggs to a safe internal temperature while keeping them tender takes timing and attention, and this kitchen clearly has the process down. You can taste that balance in every bite.

What stood out during my visit was how consistent everything felt. I’ve worked with small hospitality businesses before, and consistency doesn’t happen by accident. It usually comes from simple systems: prep done early, ingredients checked daily, and cooks who know their stations. Watching the line for a few minutes, you could tell everyone knew exactly what they were doing. That kind of smooth operation lines up with what the National Restaurant Association often highlights as a marker of long-running, trusted diners.

Breakfast may be the star, but lunch deserves attention too. The sandwiches come stacked, the burgers are grilled rather than smashed thin, and the sides don’t feel like an afterthought. One nearby table ordered meatloaf, another went for pancakes the size of plates, and nobody looked disappointed. Reviews around town often mention comfort food done right, and after eating there, that phrase makes complete sense.

Service plays a big role here. My coffee cup never stayed empty for long, and the server remembered my order without writing it down. That kind of attentiveness builds trust fast. A 2023 customer experience study by PwC found that friendly, efficient service is one of the top reasons diners return to independent restaurants, even more than pricing. You can feel that principle at work in this dining room.

The atmosphere stays casual and welcoming, which makes it easy to recommend for families, solo diners, or anyone who just wants a solid meal without fuss. The location also helps. Being close to central Myrtle Beach means it’s accessible without feeling overcrowded, and parking hasn’t been an issue on my visits. While no place is perfect during peak hours, the staff handles busy mornings well, and waits tend to move faster than expected.

If there’s a limitation worth noting, it’s that the space isn’t huge, so weekends can feel tight. Still, that’s often the trade-off with places that cook fresh and keep a loyal crowd. Based on multiple visits and conversations with locals, the reputation this diner has earned didn’t come from hype. It came from years of steady food, familiar faces, and a menu that delivers exactly what people hope for when they sit down.

  • Was happy to switch it up and try something new in Myrtle Beach. Authentic family-operated Honduran restaurant Offering empanadas, pupusas, flautas de pollo, chimichangas, tacos, etc. * Heads up: the card reader was down when we went, cash or Zelle payments for the time being. Might be something worth preparing for Our table ordered modelos, empanadas, fried chicken Honduran plate, and a steak burrito w/ homemade salsa. - the empanadas were exceptional! I really enjoyed the simple steak burrito filled with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. My burrito was plenty filling. The Honduran Fried Chicken was a gamble but stole the show. My fiance said that was some of the crispiest chicken she's ever had! Either (Bone-In) Drums, thighs, and/or breast served with cabbage slaw/pico, pickled onions, and fried plantains. The chicken was drizzled with some sauces but held its crispy breading all the way through. We highly recommend all the meals we tried, I assume the rest of their food is equally tasty. Also, great service from all the staff! Nothing but positive things to say about our experience at Delia's Kitchen

  • Fantastic food! Recommend the Caldo De Rez soup, so delicious! The one down side the parking lot was a bit dark and hard to find. But a great hidden gem, definitely give it a try.

  • Stopped here as we were craving Spanish food and saw the great reviews. Pretty nondescript place, but the food, service and hospitality were AMAZING. Mexican, Salvadorian and Nicaraguan dishes! So good!

  • Delia's Kitchen is a hidden gem in Myrtle. I stopped in on my way to the airport for a quick dinner and it was unexpectedly delightful. Delia was wonderfully helpful and friendly and got my food right out as I was on a tight deadline. I had the carne asada platter and it was delicious and beautifully plated! (I started eating and then realized I wanted to leave a review bc of how yummy it was, so my pic is dinner in progress.) Wish I lived locally but I'll definitely be back on future trips to Myrtle. Bottom line- great food, great people- give them a try!
